I'm Alex. I write software and watch the clouds go by. I work as a software engineer at an innovation-friendly healthcare institution. At work I use tools like TypeScript, SolidJS, Vite, Webpack, Python, and FastAPI. I don't do much programming outside of work, preferring to ride my bicycle and go for hikes in the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains. But, when I do do hobby coding, I tend to use Rust with some F# and Julia thrown in. My ideal weather day is in the warm season and has a strong anabatic cold front passage in the late-afternoon with lots of downdraft-driven wind and rain.
